    Nicole - Costs are based on the number of servings required.

    Cherie - I’m glad you like the cake. Unfortunately we cannot ship our cakes. More bakers are making unique sculpted cakes now, so you may be able to find a great baker in your area.

    Mary Beth - We’ve made this cake a few times to serve varying numbers of party guests. Wilton has ball pans that are good for the top of the cake, and we’ve used a glass bowl for the belly. Add rounds under the spheres if you want to make the top or belly fuller. I hope this helps!

    HI AJ’s thank you for your responce!! If I use the Wilton Sports ball pan set for the breasts( I believe this gives a 6 inch diameter for the ball pan cakes) , can you remember the diameter of the glass bowl used for a belly that looks anatomically appropriate? I appreciate any info you can give!

    Mary Beth - Our glass bowls are 10″, but if you have something bigger, you may not need to carve down the breasts as much. You can also use regular rounds and just carve the breasts and belly. Good luck!

    I am going to try to do the pregnant belly cake and wanted to know which fondant do you recommend? I have used wiltons but it really doesnt have a great taste to me. Also when making the cake, when you need to cut the cake to make layers for the filling, is there a trick? Do you recommend freezing the cake to cut it? I am new at this and have only done 3 fondant cakes and have done well, but I really want to know all that is involved to do this certain cake. It will be for someone that I love very much and I want to do it the best. So any suggestions/recommendations you have I am all ears.

    Tammy ~ There are many different recipes for fondant. CakeCentral.com is a great resource for recipes and other tips and tricks. As for the layers, they’re done just like any other cake. We never freeze our cakes since that would effect the quality of the cake. However, if you refrigerate the cake for 20-30 minutes, that can make covering the cake easier. Good luck!

    I am making this cake for a shower. So the belly part is not cake? I was thinking that the belly was the ball shaped pan.

    Keisha ~ The entire body is made of cake, enough to feed a crowd. If you’re making this for a small shower, then you can use the ball shaped pan for the belly. It all just depends on the size of your party. Have fun creating your cake!

    I did a test cake over the weekend. I used the ball pans for the top and the soccor pan for the belly and it didnt look right. It was way too top heavy. Did you have to cut the top part down for yours? Also I would like to know what kind of fondant you used. Did you make your own MM fondant? If so, can you tell me how you made it? THanks

    Tammy ~ I just saw the what the soccer pan looks like yesterday, and it’s not very big compared to the ball pans. You can use those pans, but you’ll need to cut down the ball cakes. Or if your party is larger, use a bigger bowl for the belly.

    As for the fondant, we use a recipe from culinary school. I’ve heard marshmellow fondant does taste better than some others, but we haven’t tried it yet. Feel free to call or email us with other specific questions. Contact information is on our website at http://www.AJsMoonlightBakery.net.
