Sphinx Cake

Ui celebrated her 30th birthday with family and friends at Hakilau restaurant in San Jose’s Japantown. Their spot in the back room was totally made up for an Egyptian celebration, including the Sphinx cake Ui chose months ago.

Egyptian Sphinx Cake

Soon Ui will be off on an Egyptian holiday where she’ll surely see the great Pyramids and the Sphinx of Giza, a symbol of strength and wisdom made with the body of a lion and the head of a god. Until then, a little bit of paradise found it’s way to her birthday.

Happy 30th Ui!

  1. Giza pyramids is an excellent place to travel to. Sunset in the sands is something you should definitely see live.

Did you know that there is a KFC right by the Sphinx in Cairo. Our tour guide was saying that they do Kentucky fried camel there.

  3. We went to Egypt in March, we stayed in Sharm and took a day trip to Cairo to see the Sphinx. It was pricey but well worth it, we got some amazing shots of the Sphinx and Pyramids in Giza.
