Baptismal Font Cake
Wednesday, July 16th, 2008Aoife wanted an extraordinary cake to celebrate her son’s baptism. Made to look like a baptismal font, the cake was personalized with a Celtic Dara knot (like Darragh’s name) on the cake base, and Darragh Ryan’s name on the next tier. Marbelized fondant was used to resemble a classic font, and a Christening cup was added at the base.
Can you imagine this centerpiece cake among the flowers and shade in a beautifully decorated backyard? It must have looked like the baptism was performed out in the garden.
